The short version: This site collects minimal data. If you submit your email address, it goes to Jacob directly. If analytics are enabled, aggregate traffic data is collected via Google Analytics 4. No data is sold. No advertising. No tracking pixels beyond GA4.

This Privacy Policy applies to velasolved.com and is operated by Vela Solved LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Jacob R. Darby is the sole member and operator.

2. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Email address — When you submit the contact form or "Book a Call" field, your email address is collected and sent directly to Jacob via email.
- Analytics data — If Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is active on this site, it collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, device type, and approximate geographic location (country/region level). This data is aggregated and used only to understand site traffic patterns.
- Server logs — Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard server log data including IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps. This data is retained per Vercel's standard data retention policy and is not used for marketing purposes.
We do not collect: payment information, social security numbers, government ID numbers, sensitive personal information, or data from children under 13.

- To understand how the site is being used and improve its content

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, profiling, or targeted advertising.
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
This site does not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or retargeting technologies. If Google Analytics 4 is active, it may set one or more cookies to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. GA4 is configured to anonymize IP addresses by default.

5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — Vercel (hosting), Google Analytics (analytics), and any form processing service (e.g., Tally.so or Formspree) used to receive contact form submissions. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements — If required to disclose information by law, court order, or government authority, we will comply and notify you where legally permissible.
- Business transfer — In the unlikely event of a business sale or merger, information collected may be transferred as a business asset.
6. Data Retention
Email addresses submitted through the contact form are retained in Jacob's email inbox for as long as is relevant to the business relationship, and deleted upon request. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months per GA4 default settings and then automatically deleted.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (EU/UK residents)

8. Security
This site is served over HTTPS. We do not store payment data, passwords, or sensitive personal information. Contact form submissions are transmitted via encrypted connections to our email provider. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data.
9. Third-Party Links
This site may contain links to third-party websites (LinkedIn, Calendly, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
10. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has submitted information through this site, we will delete it promptly.
